Frequently Asked Questions:

1.) What does Tutti mean?

Tutti is an Italian word literally meaning “all” or “together” and is used as a musical term, for the whole orchestra as opposed to the soloist. It is applied similarly to choral music, where the whole section or choir is called to sing.

2.) I’m part of the Essentially Ellington program or a member of the Berklee College of Music community. How do I access my content?

If you are an Essentially Ellington student or a Berklee student – you can ask your band leader or professor for your content code. Or email us at support@tuttidynamics.com.

3.) How can I access more content?

Right now, you can purchase content in the iPad version of our Player. We will continue to release more content over time. We will also release a Tutti store in the Tutti Music Player for Mac and PC soon. In the meantime, we’d love to hear your feedback. Please email us at support@tuttidynamics.com.

4.) How do I install the Tutti Music Player on my computer?

The Tutti Music Player for Mac and PC requires that you install: i.) Adobe Air (Download here: http://get.adobe.com/air/) and ii.) the latest Adobe Flash Player (version 11.3) (Download here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/) Warning: Some older mac operating systems do not support the latest version of Adobe Flash (v 11.3) We are working to make the Tutti Music Player work with older versions of Flash. Until then, the Tutti Music Player won’t run on these operating systems.

5.) I’m trying to log-in to the website, and keep getting an error message.

If you already created an account, make sure that you sign-in to our members area here: Login. If you continue to have problems, please email us.

6.) I forgot my password! How do I reset it?

No problem. Click on the “Forgot Password” link in the “Sign In” box. Then follow the link that we email you to reset your password.

7.) How long does it take to download the music?

The download time varies depending on the speed of your internet connection. If you have a fast connection, our shorter pieces of content featuring smaller ensembles take less than a minute to download. Our larger pieces of content featuring big bands usually take 3 – 5 minutes to download. If your connection is slow, they could take longer (on some connections they take a long, long time). Thanks for being patient while the content is delivered. Here is the good news: you only have to download the content once. So choose your next Tutti, press download, and go get a glass of water while it loads. Please don’t close out of the Player while you are loading your content. An interruption might corrupt the files. If you have to interrupt the download process, please be sure to delete the Tutti before re-downloading / playing.

8.) How do I delete a Tutti?

On your iPad: Go to the Tutti Library page and Click on the Settings box in the top right hand corner. Select Manage Media. Be aware that clearing your media will delete all of your Tuttis. You can download them again. On your computer: Go to the library and click on the grey arrow next to the Tutti name. Then click the red delete button. You can always download the Tutti again.

9.) One of my Tuttis won’t load. What should I do?

Try deleting the file using the instructions above and then downloading it again. Email us if you continue to have trouble at support@tuttidynamics.com. Whenever you have trouble downloading a song, please go back and delete the corrupted files out of your Player using the instructions above.

10.) The video or sheet music doesn’t display… What should I do?

If the sheet music or video doesn’t display after more than a couple of minutes that the Tutti is loaded, try going back to the menu screen and selecting the Tutti again. If something still isn’t working, delete the media in the library screen and download / player again. If that doesn’t work, email us at support@tuttidynamics.com.
