Jazz Education Network Conference and The Future of Online Music Education

jen_logo_notextWe just returned from a great few days at this year’s Jazz Education Network conference in Atlanta. It was fun to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones too.

Tutti Founder Darren Hoffman, and Berklee professor Dan Moretti, were invited to lead a seminar about integrating technology into the music classroom. Entitled Interactive and Immersive Video Tools: The Future of Online Music Education, Darren and Dan provided an overview of the latest digital teaching tools and then more deeply explored the world of interactive and immersive video.

“The emergence of high-speed internet and tablet computers in classrooms have the potential to quickly transform music education environments,” noted Dan.  “While the one-on-one personal connection between student and teacher will never be replaced, the latest tools will allow students to become emerged in the learning experience in exciting new ways.”
